Latest Update: BS 8406 Event Stewarding
The latest revision of BS 8406:2020 published in August 2020 saw the introduction of key changes such as the inclusion of tiered screening of personnel for relatively small community-based through to highly complex events and a requirement to conduct Counter-terrorism awareness training.
Existing NSI companies holding approval to this standard have until 31st March 2021 to meet the new requirements necessary to maintain approval. All companies wishing to hold approval to BS 8406:2020 must also now hold approval to the security services umbrella standard BS 10800:2020.
