NSI works with the following stakeholders:
(NPCC) bring together the operationally independent and locally accountable chief constables and their chief officer teams to coordinate national operational policing.
NSI participates in the NPCC Security Systems Group regarding monitored intruder alarms installed and maintained by approved companies, and any revisions to the NPCC Police Requirements and Response to Security Systems.
NSI has been an assessing body for the Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) since its inception following the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK. It carries out compulsory licensing of individuals undertaking designated activities within the sector.
NSI provides feedback to the SIA with aspiration of increasing effectiveness of the ACS and how assessing bodies can contribute to this
BAFE is the independent register of quality fire safety service providers for the fire protection industry. It provides industry with schemes to encourage high quality standards in fire protection companies who can then become third party certificated.
NSI is the only certification body licensed by BAFE to audit all the BAFE fire safety schemes. Businesses providing fire safety services who choose NSI as their certification body are both NSI approved and BAFE registered.
The Irish Security Industry Authority (ISIA) is the trade association representing the needs of the private security industry in Ireland.
Operating as CerticCS, NSI has been appointed by the ISIA as the assessing body for its Qualsec Platinum, gold and silver schemes.
