Overview
To meet the requirements of current fire safety legislation, system designers, installation, commissioning and maintenance engineers need to be able to demonstrate their competence in the tasks they carry out.
Why attend?
BAFE Scheme SP207 calls up BS 8629, the British Standard for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of evacuation alert systems, published in November 2019.
This course has been developed by NSI specifically for organisations wishing to gain an understanding of the requirements of the new British Standard.
Who should attend?
System designers, installation, commissioning and maintenance engineers who need to be able to demonstrate their competence in the tasks they carry out. This course is designed for those who are, or will be, involved in the provision and maintenance of evacuation alert systems.

The course covers the following aspects:
Learning outcomes
- Give delegates a good understanding of the recommendations contained within BS 8629:2019.
- Be able to design a basic evacuation alert system.
Delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance in addition to course notes. Those attending will be expected to take an interactive part in the training course.
