FAQs for Applicants & Approved Companies
NSI Approval is awarded to a company once it has been successfully audited against the relevant scheme criteria to confirm compliance with appropriate British and International Standards and Industry Codes of Practice.
Yes you can easily transfer UKAS Accredited Approval to NSI. In some cases assessment days may be required.
This is when a company holding NSI approval seeks to gain approval for additional services / schemes.
Your application will be handled by the applications team who will guide you through the process. As soon as due diligence and eligibility checks have been completed one of our experienced auditors will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient date for your first audit. For further detail on the process please refer to our Certification Process.
All NSI auditors will have extensive knowledge of the British Standards and the technical requirements of the scheme for which you are seeking approval.
It usually takes between 3-6 months to gain approval, depending on several factors such as readiness for assessment and auditor availability.
This is dependent on the scheme and the size and complexity of your business. Please contact the applications team to obtain a quote.
