Code of practice - labour provision in the security and events sectors
In response to feedback and evidence of poor practices that threaten the safety of the public, NSI developed a Code of Practice for the Provision of Labour in the Security and Events Sectors (NCP 119).
This code when utilised demonstrates to buyers of security guarding and event stewarding services areas such as screening, right to work, payment of minimum wage and SIA licensing are correctly adhered to for all personnel deployed including those sourced from labour providers.

Specialist Services Silver
NSI's Specialist Services Silver scheme is designed as a stepping stone towards Specialist Services Gold.
It requires companies to meet the same high level of technical competence as the Specialist Services Gold scheme.

Approval by NSI requires inspection to recognised British standards/Codes of Practice. Before an inspection for approval can take place, companies should ensure they have a copy of the appropriate Standard.
Relevant British Standards and International Standards are available to NSI approved companies and applicants through our Online Standards Subscription Service or hard copies and electronic copies can be purchased through NSI at a preferential rate.
