Women in Security Awards 2018 – A Night of Celebration for Women in the Security Sector

Organised by Professional Security Magazine and Patron Una Riley who founded the awards six years ago, the evening was a huge success with more than 150 security professionals gathering together on board the Dixie Queen riverboat for a black tie dinner/dance cruise in London.  This year’s host was the Fire & Security Association (FSA), with Steve Martin, Head of the FSA, introducing the evening’s proceedings.

NSI would like to congratulate all of the winners and runners up who were shortlisted by a pre-eminent judging panel, from more than 180 nominations.

They included the following representatives from NSI approved companies:

  • Viola Wang from ICTS (Technical Award)
  • Rebecca Howarth from Westgrove Group (Frontline Award)
  • Amanda Abouelnasr from G4S Secure Solutions (Frontline Award)

Richard Jenkins, NSI Chief Executive, commented “The Women in Security Awards is a truly unique and keenly anticipated occasion, now firmly embedded in the calendar of UK security professionals.  This impressive event has significantly helped to showcase the varied and fulfilling career opportunities available to women in the field of security, with many of the roles having traditionally been male-dominated.  I congratulate last night’s winners and runners-up and wish them continuing success as their careers progress.”
