NSI Installer Summit 2016 – hundreds Attend Exclusive Event
The NSI Installer Summit is an exclusive event for NSI approved companies in the security and fire installation sectors.
The format of the event has been well received by installers which specifically emphasises education and learning.
NSI approved companies have a keen appetite for learning about latest technology, industry updates and best practice. Keeping up to date gives them an advantage in delivering a consistent, high quality service to their clients and in maintaining their competitive edge.
The Summit Conference provided an opportunity for installers to listen to a variety of thought-provoking speakers from the security and fire sectors. Speakers were:
David Mair (Security Systems Manager, National Police Chiefs’ Council), Mike Jay (Convenor, RISCAuthority Security Group), Douglas Barnett (Chairman, BAFE), Simon Banks (Group Managing Director, CSL DualCom), Dr Jim Glockling (Technical Director, Fire Protection Association), Steve Riley (Commercial Director, RISCO Group UK), David Wilkinson (Director of Technical Services, BSIA) and Neil Sampson (Chairman or the Powered Gates Group of the Door and Hardware Federation).
Four Summit Session discussion groups were held in the afternoon on focussed industry topics: Cyber Security, ISO 9001:2015, Apprenticeships and Powered Gates and Barriers (a heads-up for installers on NSI’s upcoming new approval scheme).
The date for next year’s NSI Installer Summit has already been set – 30th March 2017 and installers should put the date in their diaries now.
