BSIA to host Next Generation Network (NGN) Events for Installers and Alarm Receiving Centres
The BSIA are hosting a series of breakfast briefings to help installers and Alarm Receiving Centres understand the impending changes to the UK telecommunications network and the potential impact on their businesses. The next events are planned for Warrington (31st October) and Belfast (11th December).
With existing and new alarm signalling systems having to switch from analogue to an ALL-IP digital network, these seminars will provide those working in the security and fire sectors with essential information.
Those attending the seminars will have the opportunity to take part in a Q&A with leading experts from:

- Openreach (Access Provider)
- BT Consumer
- Virgin Media
The next NGN seminars will take place at the following venues:
Belfast– 11th December – Riddel Hall, Queen’s University Belfast, University Road, Belfast, BT7 1NN.
In addition to discussions about the NGN, attendees will also be updated on PD 6669/BS EN 50136 – Guidance for the provision of alarm transmission (ATS) for alarm systems in the UK.
