Apprentices for Fire & Security – Addressing the Skills Gap

Apprentices-for-Fire-and-Security-logo‘Apprentices for Fire & Security’ aims to convince employers that young people can provide skills that may be lacking in their business.  With the right career planning and succession path, apprentices can become a prized asset instrumental to the future of a business.

The 100 in 100 apprentice drive, as it was formerly known, was founded in 2011 by Simon Banks, Group Managing Director of CSL DualCom and has had the continued support of NSI plus other leading organisations in the security sector: Skills for Security, IFSEC International and SSAIB.  Since it began, over 3,000 16-24 year olds have been placed into careers in the security sector ranging from engineering, IT, product design, marketing, sales and many more.
