The Sheriffs’ Award for Bravery: Nominations Sought from Across the UK!
Nominations are being sought be the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals (WCOSP) for The Sheriffs’ Award for Bravery which celebrates people who have contributed to safeguarding “people, property or our liberty”.
The Award was instituted by WCOSP after the London bombings in 2005 and is awarded annually be the Sheriffs of the City of London. Nominations are open to members of the public, Emergency Services and those employed in the security industry.
The Award is highly prestigious, with the Principal Recipient receiving a trophy, a framed certificate and £2,500. By the order of the Sheriffs, their names are permanently inscribed on an Honours Board and in a Book of Honour which are on permanent display at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, the Old Bailey.
The Principal Recipient is invited to the WCOSP Annual Dinner and the Commendation Recipients are invited with their families to receive their certificates from the Sheriffs of the City of London.
Closing date for entries is 1st August 2022.
