Speakers Announced for 2024 OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit
The sixth edition of the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) Thought Leadership Summit, organised in association with NSI takes place on 22 February 2024 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in central London.
Event organiser World Excellence Awards has now revealed the names of prominent sector influencers who will be part of the distinguished line-up of speakers:
Jenni Jetzer, Group People Director at Lodge Service, will address the subject of ‘Mental Health and Well-Being at Work: How is Security Responding to the Challenges?’ One in every four of us experience a mental health condition each year. For those working in the security industry, the threats posed to mental well-being are increased given the potential to witness – or otherwise be involved in – a traumatic event, as well as the increased risk of being subject to verbal or physical abuse.
Set against that backdrop, Jetzer will address several key areas. How do we effectively ensure well-being is on the business agenda? How do we support and maintain the well-being of security professionals? Also, how do we engage security professionals in recognising the importance of their own well-being?
Data and Intelligence
Adam Ratcliffe, Operations Director at the Safer Business Network, is going to make a presentation focused on ‘Using Data and Intelligence to Fight (Organised) Crime’.
In the modern age, we are all familiar with the need to collect good intelligence and generate accurate data, but research has shown there’s a skill involved in doing so. Ratcliffe’s presentation will seek to understand what approaches work and those that don’t, what the role of technology is – and what it can be – and also forecast what the future of data management might look like.
‘What the Bosses Say’
The ever-popular annual session entitled ‘What the Bosses Say’ will feature Neill Catton, Managing Director of CIS Security and Tim Kendall, Managing Director at G4S Secure Solutions (UK).
Catton and Kendall will talk about the challenges they face and those they feel the sector confronts when it comes to improving the security sector and the environment in which it operates.
What do they see as the main obstacles to progress and how might these barriers be overcome? What needs to change in the sector and, importantly, how?
