Professional Electrician & Installer – Alarm bells are ringing

In the latest edition of Professional Electrician & Installer, NSI Director Matthew Holliday describes why false alarms being generated from security systems require urgent action from Installers. 

A significant recent rise in false alarms generated from remotely monitored security systems installed by companies approved by UKAS-accredited third-party certification body, such as NSI, has bucked a longstanding downward trend in erroneous alerts from these alarms. 

NSI, along with police, insurers and other industry taskforce stakeholders, has developed best practices to guide Installers.
