The keenly anticipated Engineers of Tomorrow competition which showcases the skills of security and fire apprentices will be taking place in July. Do your apprentices have what it takes to compete in this national competition, of which NSI is a founding stakeholder? Do they deserve your backing and industry recognition?

Preparations are well underway for this year’s regional heats, which will be taking place remotely in digital format.
Following the heats, the ‘live’ Engineers of Tomorrow competition will take place at IFSEC and FIREX International in London on 12-14 July, where the winners of the regional heats will compete in this high profile, live installation challenge.
The overall winners of the fire competition will be determined at the ‘live’ event in July and the winners of the electronic security competition (the ‘national qualifier’) will proceed to the final at WorldSkills UK Live in Birmingham.

The British Security Awards will take place on 30th June and nominations are now open for the Apprentice of the Year Award (closing date 9 May). NSI is delighted to sponsor this category again and we encourage employers to nominate their apprentices for this prestigious award.
Apprentices for Fire & Security (A4FS) is the industry initiative that aims to place people into careers in the Fire and Security Industry. The website is a helpful resource, signposting to helpful information on apprenticeships.
