A key motivation for gaining and maintaining NSI certification is meeting client expectations. As we began pursuing more tenders and larger projects, we increasingly found that potential clients and partners were specifically asking for NSI certification and that it was often a requirement for inclusion on approved tender lists.
For us, NSI certification provides valuable reassurance to clients that our business processes, standards and quality of work are independently assessed and subject to ongoing third-party audit. It demonstrates that we are committed to maintaining consistent standards rather than simply making claims about the quality of our service.

Ultimately, this helps our clients feel safer and more confident in the people they are trusting to protect their property.
What preparation does your team undertake in advance of NSI audits?
NSI audits encourage us to regularly step back and review the business, including our commercial offering and how we can improve it. They also ensure we maintain a strong focus on quality by regularly carrying out technical audits and inspections of the systems we have installed, helping us identify and address any areas for improvement.
Looking forward, what do you consider to be the industry’s key challenges and opportunities?
A challenge and an opportunity is the investment in developing the next generation of engineers. The industry needs more support, funding and incentives to encourage businesses to recruit and train young talent.

We've invested in dedicated training facilities at our offices, regularly work with apprentices through Skills for Security and have quarterly training days.
