Security Research Initiative
The National Security Inspectorate is a sponsor of the work of the Security Research Initiative (SRI) – a programme of research into the security sector lead by Perpetuity Research. The aim of the initiative is to evaluate topics that are important to the security world. (For more information visit the SRI pages of Perpetuity’s website via http://www.perpetuityresearch.com/sri.html ).
The most recent study involved a large-scale survey to identify how security professionals view the current state of the sector and examine their perspectives on economic and regulatory changes. Survey responses were sought from three main groups: directors and managers of companies supplying security, procurers of security services (security managers, facilities managers and procurement specialists), and security officers/supervisors of security officers.
