SIA ACS Passport
Route
NSI is the only SIA Approved Contractor Scheme
(ACS) Assessing Body to be able to provide approval through the
Passport route as well as the Standard and Fast Track routes.
NSI Guarding Gold and Cash Services Gold
approved companies providing services for Security Guarding, CCTV,
Door Supervision, Keyholding and Cash and Valuables in Transit
services may choose this option.
All NSI approved
companies:
- meet the highest business performance
standards
- meet all relevant British and European
standards for technical performance
- security screen all relevant staff
- provide a high level of staff training and
supervision to industry best practice standards
- are comprehensively insured to protect
customers and staff
- are inspected every six months by
professional auditors including random customer site visits
Gold approved companies also:
- meet the industry specific ISO 9001 Quality Management System
standard
- require additional, tougher entry standards and due diligence
on application and on-going inspection
- demonstrate a long-term track record of performance and
evidence of reliability and stability
- offer a high level of insurance specification and
preferment
Three Levels of Approval
Guarding Gold
NSI's premier manned security scheme is
designed for companies wishing to meet the industry's highest
standards by achieving business excellence through ISO 9001 Quality
Management, as well as displaying technical expertise by meeting
the appropriate British Standards.
Guarding Silver
NSI's Guarding Silver approved companies
are required to meet the same high level of technical competence as
those required from the Guarding Gold scheme, however they are not
required to subscribe to ISO 9001 Quality Management. Guarding
Silver is designed as a stepping stone towards Gold approval.
Guarding Bronze
Guarding Bronze is an entry-level scheme
for new companies. Limited dispensations to the specified
requirements are allowed. Companies wishing to enrol must work
towards and achieve Silver status within a specific timescale.
