NSI offers two levels of approval - Cash
Services Gold and Cash Services Silver.
Both levels must meet the standard
requirements as listed below, but because of the specialist nature
within this area of security, all companies must meet the dedicated
industry standard for this service
- BS 7872:2002.
All NSI approved companies:
- meet the highest business performance standards
- meet all relevant British and European standards for technical
performance
- security vet all relevant staff
- provide a high level of staff training and supervision to
industry best practice standards
- are comprehensively insured to protect customers and staff
- are inspected every six months by professional auditors
including random customer site visits
Gold approved companies also:
- meet the industry specific ISO 9001 Quality Management System
standard
- require additional, tougher entry standards and due diligence
on application and on-going inspection
- demonstrate a long-term track record of performance and
evidence of reliability and stability
- offer a high level of insurance specification and
preferment
Cash Services Gold
NSI's premier cash services scheme is designed
for companies wishing to meet the
industry's highest standards by achieving
business excellence through ISO 9001 Quality
Management, as well as displaying technical
expertise by meeting the appropriate British
Standards.
Cash Services Silver
NSI's Cash Services Silver scheme companies
are required to meet the same high level of
technical competence as those required from the Cash Services
scheme, however they are not required to subscribe to ISO 9001
Quality Management. Cash Services Silver is designed as a stepping
stone towards Gold approval.
